The first 15 years…

The story of DryBell began more than 15 years ago. Back in 1995 I started to build amplifiers, guitar pedals and effects for myself, for my friends and for people who wanted custom designs.

It was a standard beginning with our services limited to the local Croatian market. Alongside playing in a rock & blues band, I built pedals which were originally expensive or weren’t on the market anymore, and I serviced broken pedals, amps and guitar electronics.

That was my hobby. I can say that in these 15 years I serviced hundreds of items of electronic musical equipment; a pretty big number for a hobby and it demanded a lot of my free time.

As a result, DryBell emerged, a brand which is exclusively focused on helping you feel great whenever you pick up your guitar.

Many thanks to all who supported me all these years and still support me in any way. Also, thanks to all the future buyers of DryBell pedals.

DryBell Team

The most important thing is that you are satisfied with the sound of the pedal.

To build quality pedals you need to put significant effort into their design, testing, redesign and re-testing. DryBell has gathered a small team of experienced professionals who are ultimately responsible for the satisfaction you experience every time you use DryBell pedals on your gigs.

My dear wife, Ivana Suhodolčan, works in marketing and in correspondence. Without her support and patience setting up DryBell would have been much harder .

Ivica Zmajilović, Ivana’s dad, works on the legal and financial functioning of the company. DryBell is a brand of the company Almet Stubica d.o.o. owned by Ivica. Ivica is in charge of manufacturing mechanical parts for the pedals, the housing and other small parts. He plays the guitar and the bass guitar.

Kruno Domaćinović is a guitar player, a professional Croatian musician who likes to explore the possibilities of sound. Each DryBell pedal while still in R&D goes through his hands . He works on audio pedal testing, the recording of audio samples and is the lead guitar player in the first Vibe Machine demo.

Gordan Lončar is also a professional musician, as well as a web designer. He works on both maintaining the DryBell website and pedal testing.

Zvonko Suhodolčan (Zvonch) works on building and designing DryBell pedals. Every mechanical and electronic part of the pedal is his original work. Zvonch is the creator of the DryBell brand and also works in marketing. He plays the guitar too. At the workshop

There’s always something new that has to be done at our workshop. We are constantly busy with the production, designing and testing of pedal prototypes, resulting in a so called creative mess . Designing and building pedals is a very demanding job which includes a lot of intricate tasks and many hours of hard work.

Every prototype is carefully elaborated and sometimes even completely rejected. And then we have to do everything all over again until every detail and harmonic is in its place.

Every DryBell pedal is unique and special. No aspect of a new pedal comes into existence by accident or instantaneously; rather, it takes weeks, months or even years of painstaking work to finish it.

At this point we should also thank all the guys from vault66.org forum for all of the support and invaluable advice they gave while we were developing and testing prototype pedals.

All things considered, I hope you will enjoy future DryBell pedals.

MANY THANKS TO ALL OF YOU WHO DECIDED TO PLACE YOUR TRUST IN
